What’s the issue? The Wi-Fi network cannot be found in the mobile device or you get the "Connect Your Camera" / "Wi-Fi Network Not Connected" / "Connection Lost" message in the App. Where does it apply? Follow the instructions for your camera model below: HERO4 Black & Silver, HERO Session / HERO4 Session, HERO+ & HERO+ LCD:   If you're working with an iPhone or iPad, let's start by forgetting the bluetooth ID in the settings application on your iOS device. If by chance you have multiple devices with the same, make sure to delete all of them. Follow the instructions below: 1. iOS Only: Open the Settings application on your iOS device and navigate to the Bluetooth settings.     2. iOS Only: Select the information icon next to your GoPro and select "Forget this device". If by chance your GoPro is listed multiple times, make sure to delete all devices with the same name. 3. Next, you'll need to remove the camera from the menu inside the GoPro App. Open the GoPro App and select "Connect Your Camera". From the main camera screen, select "Edit" to delete the device. 4. Select the "-" to delete the camera, then select the "Delete" button to remove the camera. Now that you've deleted the device from the app and your iPhone's settings, you will need to pair your GoPro as a new device. Please follow these instructions: Open the GoPro App and select "Connect Your Camera". Press the "Add New" button. Select your camera model On the front of the camera, press the mode button until you see "Setup" Press the shutter button to select into the "Setup" Menu Press the shutter button to select Wi-Fi Press the mode button to scroll down to "GoPro App" then press the shutter button Press the "Continue" button in the app Select your camera from the list (e.g. GoPro 1411....) Select "Pair My Camera" Enter the PIN number that is listed on the camera's LCD Screen Connect to the cameras Wi-Fi network If you still can't get connectedwe'd recommend trying a Wi-Fi Reset on your HERO4 or HERO+ camera. To reset the Wi-Fi on your device, follow these instructions: HERO4 Black & Silver Turn the camera ON. Press the mode button repeatedly on front of the camera until “Set Up” appears on the screen. Select the red shutter button on top of the camera. Press the mode button repeatedly on front of the camera until “Reset Cam” is highlighted. Press the mode button to select “Reset Wi-Fi”. Press the shutter button to select. Press the mode button to highlight “Reset” Press the shutter button to select.   HERO Session / HERO4 Session: If the camera is unresponsive, you will need to reset the camera and re-enable Wi-Fi: Part 1 - Reset the Camera: Press and hold the shutter button for 8-10 seconds. Note: Resetting the camera does not reset the Wi-Fi Part -2 Reset the Wi-Fi: Press and hold the INFO/WI-FI button for 8-10 seconds; you will be prompted with "Reset Wi-Fi." The button can now be released.  Press the INFO/WI-FI button once to highlight YES.  Press the SHUTTER button once to select YES; the camera will prompt you that the reset has occurred, then turn off.  Follow the pairing instructions here, to set up a new name and password during the GoPro App pairing process.    HERO+ & HERO+ LCD: Turn the camera ON. Press the mode button repeatedly on front of the camera until “Set Up” appears on the screen. Select the shutter button on top of the camera. Select the shutter button to select into the Wireless menu. Press the mode button until "Reset Wi-Fi" is highlighted. Press the shutter button to select. Press the mode button to highlight “Reset”. Press the shutter button to select.   HERO3 & HERO3+: Typically connection issues on the HERO3 or HERO3+ result from entering the wrong password. In order to get reconnected, please follow these instructions to reset the password on your camera: Password Reset Instructions. Wi-Fi Network Can't be Found in Phone/Tablet: If the camera's Wi-Fi network can't be found in the phone/tablet's wireless settings menu, follow these steps: Turn off/on the phone/tablet's Wi-Fi. Power off/on the camera. Make sure the camera is in GoPro App or Phone/Tablet mode and that you see a Wi-Fi icon in the bottom-right corner of the camera's screen. Open up the Wireless Settings on your device and try to connect to the Wi-Fi network with the phone/tablet. If the network is not present in the phone/tablet's list, try another phone/table if possible. Redo the software update.

Pairing HERO4 Black or HERO4 Silver with the GoPro App for the First Time On your smartphone/tablet, complete these steps: Download the GoPro App to your smartphone/tablet from the Apple ®  App Store or Google Play Store Tap "Connect Your Camera.” Tap "Add New Device.” *Android - Click "Choose A Device" and then "Add New Device." Tap "HERO4.” On your camera, complete these steps: Press the mode button to power on your camera.  Press the mode button until you highlight "Setup,” then press the shutter button to select it. On the app, tap "Continue." On the camera, complete these steps: Press the shutter button twice to turn on Wi-Fi. Press the mode button to highlight “Pair,” then press the shutter button to select it. On the app, tap "Continue." On the camera, press the shutter button to select "GoPro App." On the app, complete these steps: Tap “Continue.” Enter the PIN that is listed on the camera's LCD screen, then tap “Pair.” Enter a name and password for your camera. Tap “Update Your Camera.” For iOS users: Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your phone and select your camera name, enter the password, then return to the app. You will see a blue dot next to the camera name indicated that it is connected. Tap your camera name to connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi network and you are all set! Pairing HERO4 Black or HERO4 Silver with the GoPro App on Additional Devices ​Any additional device will need to be paired using the same exact process and steps listed above.   HERO4 Session Pairing process Connecting HERO4 Session with the GoPro App for the First Time:  If your HERO4 Session has never been paired with the GoPro App on any smartphone/tablet, follow the instructions below to connect your camera to the app. On your smartphone/tablet, complete these steps: Download the GoPro App to your smartphone/tablet from the Apple ®  App Store or Google Play Store.  Open the app, then tap "Connect Your Camera." Tap "Add New Device." Android - Click on "Choose A Device" and then "Add New Device." Tap HERO4 Session. Because this camera has never been paired with the app on any device, tap "Yes." On HERO4 Session, complete these steps: Press the Info/Wireless button to turn on the display. Press the  Info/Wireless   button again to cycle to APP, then press the Shutter/Select button to select it. On your smartphone/tablet, complete these steps: Tap "Continue." Enter the PIN displayed on your camera status screen, then tap "Pair." Create a new camera name and password, then tap "Continue." For iOS users: Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your phone and select your camera name, enter the password, then return to the app.  You will see a blue dot next to the camera name indicated that it is connected. Tap your camera name to connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi network and you are all set! You can now control your camera with the app.
